I have a show that records everynight. AntiVirus updates everynight and the EGP updates everynight. All at different times of course.
In the morning when you want to watch live-tv after a few seconds it will exit back to the main menu.
You have to exit GB, and restart the recording service. After that live-tv works fine until the next day.

Any ideas? Our GB-PVR runs 24/7 and is only used for TV.
We realy like GB since it is highly customizable. But my wife complains about having to restart.Cool

Maybe if you schedule a restart after youve done all your updates then your wife wont have to manually do it every morning? This may not solve the problem, but could be a workaround to improve the WAF while you track down the culprit.

I downloaded a little utility from the net called shutdown.exe and fire it from a batchfile after doing defrags. Its scheduled for about 5am so you come down in the morning to a defraged and 'fresh' PVR...

just have it run the restart.bat file from gbpvr dir...
this will restart the recording service only and see if that's all you need...
