Hmm, could be...maybe Sub knows.

in my case:

Windows XP SP2 (English, but Locale Finnish). The hardware is: AOPEN XC Cube, P4 2.8Ghz (hyperthreaded)

1. .NET1.1 or .NET1.1 and .NET2.0 and both fails.
2. Directx 9.0C
3. Twinhan DVB-C Mini-cab (downgraded to BDA version 1.2.3.0 from Twinhan, same as sub uses if I remember correct)

I will try to compare the Media Portal and my GB-PVR pins and see if they matches.

By the way, I also heard that there are might be different Twinhan models available. So assuming all Twinhan are the same might be a problem too. Sub, are you aware of that? I'm not 100% sure of it, but a friend of mine bought about 4-5 twinhan dvb cards and one of them did not work under Linux, even if they were all the same brand.

So the pin definitions could be the case for me too, but I guess that is only a way lucky guess.

I found some difference between GBPVR and Mediaportal:

Should there be a connection between the following "filters"?

Microsoft DVB-C Network Provider --> DTV-DVBC 878 Digital Tuner Filter --> DTV DVBC 878 Digital Capture Filter

If I understood the mediaportal log correctly these three filters are connected together.

According to my graph with GBPVR (bda.grf): Microsoft DVB-C Network Provider is not connected with DTV-DVBC 878 Digital Tuner Filter. Neither is DTV-DVBC 878 Digital Tuner Filter with DTV DVBC 878 Digital Capture Filter.

So it seems I will not get any data...Smile .. Could that be the problem why size equals 0kb?

I've been having similar problems where I get 0K files when I attempt to record to mpg and 6K files for dvr-ms. Sometimes, when I restart the recording service, I will get a good mpg file about 1 in 4 times, but it almost never works on the initial recording.

When I de-register all mux files (cyberlink, intervideo and showshifter) the dvr-ms records work without a hitch. For those who can use the dvr-ms files, that might help.
