XDVD menus and language

Hi,

I just installed VLC and XDVD and everything seems to work fine. Great stuff!

However, when I select a dvd folder on my hdd (the dvd was ripped on my hdd), the playback starts with the tons of previews that I am not able to skip. Is there a way to configure the MVP remote (I am using the MVP for playback) to jump to the menu or to jump directly to the main title?

My second question is about language. The playback starts by default in English. I would like to select French. I don't know if it is a setting in VLC, but I looked and found nothing.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know where i red it on the forum but as far as i concerned i changed the line:
from
start /low C:\Progra~1\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe --sout=#transcode <-- omitted --> --one-instance VLC:quit
to
start /low C:\Progra~1\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe --sout=#transcode <-- omitted --> --one-instance --audio-language italian VLC:quit

into the files: playmvpdvd.bat playmvpdvdfiles.bat playmvpdvdiso.bat

I think you should use:
--audio-language french instead

Thanks a lot for the very good hint. However, for some reasons, it does not seem to work for me. I have explored the VLC command line options help on the VLC website and it is not very explicit on the values accepted for the language. I will continue to explore this avenue.

I don't know if it is related though but when I changed the value for language, the VLC stopped to work correctly even if I've put it back to the previous values. The playback of the advertising previews starts and after a minute or two the MVP seems to loose connection with gbpvr and need to reconnect.

I have still work to do to make it work fine. There is still hope!
