My first post and I'm sorry it's for help, but you guy's look like the people to ask.

For weeks now I have been trying in vain to get the Win2000 program to work with my PVR150mce and my Sky box, but have had no joy with it.
Yesterday I found GBPVR and though it looks much better I still can't get it to work, but I think it's something that I am doing wrong.
This is how I have the Sky box connected;

Scart from STB into an RF modulator, then into the 150 via the aerial input socket using a bog standard RF lead.

I expect my configuration settings to be wrong, but I have tried it all ways!
This is how they are at the moment;

Recording source: Direct recording plugin

PVR150mce (found by the program itself)

UK

Board No.1

Source: I really don't know what it should be, should it be fixed because of the signal coming from the Sky box via the modulator which is on channel 36 or 38 into the aerial socket on the card? according to the modulator instructions I should see the white vertical test bar when the signal is found, but nothing has shown yet.

Tuning: ?????

If anyone can help I'd be really grateful
Cheers

Welcome to the forums =)

You should use fixed channel with your setup above. I don't think it matters whether you choose antenna or cable as tuning, as long as you are on "low" channel numbers as 36 or 38 (can anyone confirm this?)

That said, you would get a lot better picture if you used a scart->s-video adapter and put that one into the pvr-150's s-videoinput.

Have you seen our wiki? I think you can get a lot of useful information there:

Good luck!

Thanks Stefan, had already looked at the Wiki, and was unable to find any additional info on the setup.
All I have is a screen of static.
Sad

Allan, I'm using RF input from a sky box - XP and pvr150 compared to yours but may give you a 'starter for 10'.
Couple of screen shots attached. I don't have my 'source channels' set up yet, they are the defaults from loading the EPG. In time they will be the sky channel numbers for the IR Blaster if it ever gets a software upgrade that works.
I think you have to have a valid EPG so that the card is selected. I'm not sure your channel 36/38 is right - didn't the channel numbers get a swap around - my sky box outputs on channel 68 from RF2 which is the one I use because I use an IR extender to change channels remotely.

At present I use the sky box epg to program channel changes (or the remote) so when gbpvr changes channels nothing actually happens - this is the problem with the blaster software at present.

If you need anymore info, just shout.

Martin

p.s. I would investigate why you can't see the sky box with Hauppauge's win2000 first as this is the lowest common denominator and if you can't see it with this then you have a real problem.
