I stumbled across this PVR program last nigh. All I have to say is WOW! I am impressed.

I do have one issue. When I try to play live TV in the PC, I get the "Object reference not set to an instance of an object. This seems to be a common issue that has various potential solutions. I have browsed the WIKI for installation help and the forums for any advice. I tried them all with no success. I have got the TV scheduler and DVD player function to work great!

Here is my setup :
Biostar Motherboard with Athlon 3000 - 64 bit
1Gb of DDR Kingston RAM
Haupauge 350 PCI TV tuner with Radio
Fresh install of Windows XP and all updates
.net runtime v1.1

What I have tried according to the forum :
Change the hardware decoder option from Hauppauge PVR350 to None - use software decoder
Change the Live Preview Mode Deinterlacing settings (experimemted)
Ensured that I had a MPEG2 Decoder Installed (PowerDVD)

I will attach the logs. Not sure which ones will help though.

Thanks in advance for any direction.

Its something to do with using a USB-UIRT to change channels. Do you actually have a USB-UIRT? If not, then edit your capture source settings and set the channel changer to 'none'.

Ahhhh, yes.... I was remembering my ATI TV Wonder Elite card. I had that card for 3 days before sending it back. 3 second lag time was too much for me.

I did go and change it to none, but still no change. I still get the same error.

I will attach the new log files.

You guys sure are speedy on response time! I think it took 10 minutes after I posted the question. BTW, who do I write the check to after this works.
;-)

Thanks for the guidance.

You get a different error now. It looks you've got your PVR350 configured as a PVR150. Checked the card type you selected.

That did it. I had done an uninstall and a reinstall of the gbpvr software, but it kept some of my experimentation settings. I had it set to a Hauppauge 500 with FM. I changed that to a Hauppaugue 350 and presto chango. It worked!

Do you know if I can use the FM tuner in my 350 with gbpvr? There is not a selection for that. I will try a 250 with FM and see what happens.

You guys rock. This software is definitely worth paying for. Why do they not include software of this quality from the manufacturer?? I think you definitely have a marketable product here. Expect $$ (or a case of Guinness stout) from me in the mail.

Thanks again.
