Show is recorded but not in the database.

I did a quick search on but I didn't find anything regarding my problem.

I'm having issues with some recordings not being retained in the database. At least not the recordings screen. Or XRecord. Its not all just once and a while.

I'm going to guess I did something to cause the disappearing show but I can't figure it out.

On the last one that didn't make it into the database this is what happened. 3 days ago I searched for "ER" to schedule a seaon recording of "ER". Last night it started to record. After it had started I went to the guide and hit "watch" to make sure the recording was working. I watched about 10 minutes and exited the recording. Today I went "Recordings" to watch my show and its gone. But if I use video library I can go to my "ER" folder and there it is. And Rename Recordings has properly named it to the "show-epsoide name".

I'm running Rename Recrodings in my postprocessing.bat (RenameRecording.exe -t %1 > rename.log) and I run xexport in my postupdate.bat. To give myself a backup incase this sort of thing happens, but by the time xexport runs the entry is no longer inthe database. It appears there is nothing to export.

Anyone got any ideas? Is Rename recordings causing the problems?

I might have a handle on this problem. I think my logo mask files, generated by comskip was not getting deleted, even though I optioned my ini correctly. When rename recordings tried to rename the files it would get stuck and fail leaving a half converted file name. The file name was updated but I think the database was not. 2 files in the folder show the old name and two are renamed.

I'm thinking if it worked as it should, I would only see:
EXAMPLE - SUBTITLE.MPG
EXAMPLE - SUBTITLE.TXT
EXAMPLE - SUBTITLE.LOG

What I found in my ER directory was this:
[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

I can only guess my comskip INI was not working correctly. I followed the instructions from the Wiki for Rename recordings.

If you are using Comskip, you will need to add RenameRecording after Comskip in order to process the file correctly.

You also need to set delete_logo_file=1 in your comskip.ini file because the file containing the commercial skip information and the logo file both have a .txt extension causing problems during renaming.

But apprently it wasn't working. I have updated my comskip and tried a few more recordings. I'm hopeing it's fixed.
