SB Live for digital out

I got the 5.1 working just fine via the adapter cable previously shown. But now I have another issue. After enabling the DVD tab and setting the decoder choices there, the nvidia decoder no longer shows up when I watch recorded tv. The icon shows up for dvds just fine and I get 20% cpu useage but with tv it doesn't show up and I get 40% cpu useage. The nvidia video decoder has the highest merit.

Did anyone have success setting up digital out on a SB Live value? If so did you get 5.1 or 4.1 output or just 2.1. I'm thinking of trying to get this working.
