Sometime during the last weeks my Digital Devices CT tuner card has stopped working in my htpc. Initially I suspected the card, but the card works in my test computer so it is ok. I have installed a fresh Windows 7 x64 Ultimate on my htpc, I have downloaded and installed the latest drivers from Digital Devices but no joy. Npvr says "device failed to start" when I try to scan or watch a channel from that card (dual dvb-c tuner) but it works great in my npvr-test computer, using the same windows and the same drivers, slightly different motherboard thou.

I'm at loss here, where to I start looking to find out why the card no longer works in my htpc?

I'd try it with some other software, like the software that came with the device.

It didn't.

"it didn't work" or "it didn't come with any software"?

It didn't come with any aplication software.
I tried deleting the devices and setting them up again, this section looks suspicious to me:

If you're familiar with GraphEdit, maybe try inserting the Microsoft Network Provider, this device, and the MPEG2 Demultiplexer, and see if you can connect the three. It looks like it's failing in it's attempt to do this.

Was there a driver update or Windows 7 update around September 1? That's when Chris found his Digital Devices CT not working: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ed-devices

yeah, I was just about to post but Zeb beat me. I really thought my device was broken too, but it works fine in my test rig. I should mention that I was having problems far before the first of september and I think it has something to do with adding an USB3 pci-e card to my htpc. I just haven't had time to test this thoroughly. Reddwarf, have you checked your device manager in W7? In my case the tuners were missing in the list.

Yes it is present in Decice Manager, I thought I did not install any updates to windows, but I realize I did when I set up a new windows 7 on a separate harddisk. I don't have a USB3 card, but I recently installed a RAID array replacing my older and slow 2Tb harddrive. Maybe that has something to do with it, but I find it strange anyway.

I'll try and test with Graphedit when I have a window between recordings.

I can start Graphedit, but as soon as I try to add a Directshow filter it stops working. Any ideas?
