For some reason, I ended up with the GB-PVR MediaMVP Server window (actually windowS in my case) showing up at boot-up again. Not sure why they just started doing that all of a sudden, when they haven't done this since many versions ago (in a galaxy far, far away), but they did.
I did a search on the forums, because I know I remember reading about this, even if it was quite a few versions ago. However, I had a hard time finding any information on it via searching. After searching using words I just knew wouldn't find anything -- yup, you guessed it -- the solution showed up. So I'm posting this and linking to the solution so hopefully the next slob that ends up with this popping up out of the blue won't find it so difficult to find.
HERE is the link.
I had to uncheck the interact with desktop checkbox for the GBPVR Recording service. Not sure why that ended up checking itself, but it did. And I haven't been dinking with GPBVR at all, other than adding new scheduled recordings and watching recordings. Probably something relating to Windows XP updates or maybe a Norton System Works scan and fix or something similar.
Anyway, hope this helps someone who ends up with the same "problem".

GBPVR system info intentionally left blank because I'm personally
insulted that you can't remember it from previous signatures.
