High Processor Usage with PVR350

I have tried both the SageTV Client and GBPVR recently. I have the PVR350 card in my system and when I use GBPVR the processor usage is really high and the computer gets bogged down badly and then stalls after trying to switch the channels a few times. Compared to SageTV which hardly uses my computer at all. I set the video output to hardware decoding-PVR350 and thought that would alleviate it, but it did not. Is there something I am missing in the setup?

Whats the specs of you PC?

I use Microsoft GDI+ for generating all my menus and stuff. In hind sight, this isn't the greatest option for very slow computers, but on medium to high speed its fine. This may or may not be you problem.
