Hi,

I've noticed in the last few days that some of my recordings are missing the start (five minutes) of the programme. I have my recording service set to restart automatically whenever an error occurs. This happened today when recording Emerdale (for my girlfriend i hasten to add!). So I looked in the recordings folder and saw this :-

Quote:Emerdale_20060605_1900_1930.mpg
Emerdale_20060605_1900_1930-2.mpg
Emerdale_20060605_1900_1930-3.mpg
Emerdale_20060605_1900_1930-4.mpg
Emerdale_20060605_1900_1930-5.mpg
Emerdale_20060605_1900_1930-6.mpg
Emerdale_20060605_1900_1930-7.mpg
Emerdale_20060605_1900_1930-8.mpg
Emerdale_20060605_1900_1930-9.mpg

I then looked at task manager and saw about 20 copies of GBPVR.EXE running.

Looking in the Event Viewer i see lots of errors against the GB-PVR Recording Service.

Quote:Faulting application GBPVRRecordingService.exe, version 1.0.2254.33789, faulting module MpgMux.ax, version 5.0.0.727, fault address 0x00018fcc.

There are a total of 15 errors at the following times.

19:13:20
19:15:19
19:17:14
19:19:07

I hope that's enough information to go on. It seems to be whenever one of my freeview tuners starts recording. I have 2xPVR 250s and 3 DVB-T 90002 (all 5 are hauppauge).

DVB-T Driver version is 2.114.24090.0
PVR-250 Driver version is 1.18.21.23257

MuxChecker reports i only have MpgMux.ax (Cyberlink) version 5.0.0727

Many Thanks.

Yeah, it looks like the mux thats causing the problem. Most people are using newer versions than that. Try installing a newer one. Remember to uninstall the older one first. If there are multiple Cyberlink muxes, it'll use the first one it finds.

Thanks. Downloading it now.

I have just rebooted my recording PC and am still getting the recording service crashing even though i am not recording anything from a DVB source. Does GBPVR load it up anyway?

No it doesnt. Have a look in the Windows event viewer to see if there is an error.

It was still crashing using the old version of MpgMux.ax. So I left the crash message on screen, unregistered MpgMux, overwrote it with the .1307 version, registered it and it was okay from then on.

I can post the logs again if you're curious as to why it was still crashing even though i wasn't recording anything from a DVB source.
