I downloaded gbpvr last night as a replacement for MCE. I was playing around with it last night and couldn't find an option for "First showing" in the recording options. Is it possbile to just record the first run of a show. All I could find was record once, record all in this time slot, record all on this channel. I think that was all I saw. Thanks for your help.

I think this is possible if you use zap2it as your epg - they're the only ones who include a show id.

Set "Do not record duplicates" in the Misc tab of the config app

There is an option in the Config app on the MISC tab that says "Do not record duplicates" This works for Zap2it. I'm not sure if it works for other EPG sources. This would cause GBPVR to only record the first showing of any given show.

Is this what your looking for?
GBPVR Server:
AMD Sempron 3300+, 1gb DDR, 100, 200 & 500gb HDDs, DVD -/+RW PVR150 RETAIL, PVR150MCE.
GBPVR 1.0.16, SKIN'S = Default Blue, PLUGIN'S = None

Thanks, I guess it's something that could be modified for different countries if the xmltv file has an original-air-date.
But I live in the US and I had to stop somewhere!
I'll probably open the source in the end, or share a version that doesn't require Zap2It, but I want to keep it as is for a while longer.

I'm using zap2it and I remember checking the "do not record duplicates" option but I'll have to confirm when I get home tonight. Thanks for the info.

Jim_,
So that plug-in just takes the info from zap2it and displays it in the TV Guide screen?

Yes,
Zap2It sends some information that GBPVR does not use. Keep in mind that GBPVR is designed to work for many countries, not just the US.
The utility moves normally discarded information, into fields that are displayed by GBPVR.
