I hope someone can help me.

I am trying to get DVB-T subtitles to show on live TV and on recorded tv (.ts file).

In config under "Misc" I have checked "Enable DVB Subtitles".

I dont know what else to look for?

I dont even know if the .ts file captures the subtitles? As far as I can read the subtitles are captured.

I live in Denmark, not sure if that is important.

CTRL-Y turns subtitles on and off in Live TV.

Have you tried using DVR-MS to see if that shows subtitles?

.ts files will include the subtitles. Other muxs DVR-MS will not capture subtitles.

I am using a NMT(PCH), so i dont have a keyboard.
Can I enable subtitles as default, as I want them on all TV live and recorded.

Forget about DVR-MS. I was wrong about that.

I know nothing about the NMT so the best that I can offer is a suggestion ...

Start PVRX2 on the computer and try CTRL-Y to switch the subtitles on. It may be that after you set subtitles on at the computer. they will also be on at the NMT.

Thanks for trying to help me.

I have GBPVR installed on a Windows Home Server, and I cant get PVRX2 to start on that machine I get: "Sorry, this system does not support the required VMR9 video render." I have tried to install the latest Graphics card driver and Direct-X 9.0c.

I have the NMT where every thing works except I need subtitles. I have tried to attach an external USB keyboard and tryped CTRL-Y but nothing happens. As far as I can see the logs is empty, so I guess the NMT client does not map usb keyboard to GBPVR?

I have a Window 7 with GBPVR installed as a client, with the WHS as the server. I can start PVRX2 here and select Live TV in the menu or Recorded TV, but then PVRX2 just shows a blank screen.

I think the best bet is to try to get the windows 7 computer to show Live TV and see if CTRL+Y shows them? Im not sure what log to look in, is it the client or the server?

The blank screen maybe due to a missing codec. These work with XP/Vista, maybe Win7 ...

The logs to look at are on the client.

Another suggestion ... Use regedit on the server to navigate to ...

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\devnz

and change SubtitlesVisible to 1

I removed comskip and changed the Client to use File Sharing instead of Streaming. When I press CTRL+Y the subtitles show!!! Hur-ray!!! :-)

They are a bit off, but at least I know they are there.

Adding the regkey did nothing for the NMT.

There is no rendering of DVB subtitles on the NMT, I have not been able to get the hardware to do this and I don't even know if it is is possible. Extracting the stream type 6 data by other means has proved difficult too, AFAIK only ProjectX might help with this. You might be lucky with postprocessing.bat creating an srt file but not with live tv.

As for the keyboard, the NMT keyboard acts like a big remote with lots of keys, it is not a keyboard. A plugin would need specific processing to mimic a keyboard. I think the NMT wiki shows the mapping of the keyboard keys to the remote.

A better place for NMT issues is the dedicate mvpmcx2 forum, I hit these other messages by chance.
