To refresh-
It was suggested to try the STB wired into my HVR-1600. As expected, that all works fine. So, the IRBlaster is the key. I found it and the remote in a junk box, plugged it in to the card, and going through WinTV to set it up. The process has come to a grinding halt. Verizon's remote obviously works fine with the STB. My IRBlaster isn't working. I've set it to the right MOT (model DCT700), no luck. I set it to run all tests, no luck. I'd just downloaded the latest WinTV a couple weeks back. Any ideas?

When they say it has to be close to the STB, they mean CLOSE!
Let's see, at I'm guess 14-18 inches it didn't respond. Curl that thing right over the STB, and it's passing the power on/off test. Sheez...
