Hey there,

I set GBPVR to record The Closer tonight. I even verified that it was recording (Show status).

After it was done, I tried to play the file. Nothing happens. So I look at the file in windows explorer. The file is 0 bytes. I thought well maybe it's buffered and hasn't written to disk, but 10 minutes later - nothing. I even tried to copy the file, the copy was 0 bytes as well. So I rebooted, and the same 0 byte file.

No errors or anything in the logs.

Anyone ever have this happen? I'd like to know what I did wrong so this won't happen again. The wife is really upset she missed her show Sad.

Thanks!

Others have reported similar problems... do you have your computer set to hibernate? Some have speculated that the PVR150 doesn't re-initialize correctly after coming out of hibernation. Others say it happens after the system hasn't been rebooted for some amount of time, some updated the drivers, and some uninstalled/reinstalled GB-PVR. Sub hasn't isolated a specific issue in the logs... so far. Maybe post your log files (in devnz\gbpvr directory) gbpvr.exe.log and *maybe* GBPVR.exe-native.log to help isolate the issue.

Another possibility, and you've probably checked it, is what happened to me awhile back where I got too low on hard drive space where my recordings are stored so my recordings weren't taping and were showing up as 0 bytes.

yeah. i leave my htpc on standby all the time to cut down on my energy bill.

I find that i need to reboot the PC every week or so, else I find that I get recording failure or that GBPVR reports that recording is done, but the filesize is like 1meg or so.

A reboot will clear the problem.
