I recently purchased a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-150 to replace my old 13" TV and while most things work correctly, i find myself unable to adjust any colour settings

Watching TV is alright albeit a little dark but playing console games can be rather annoying since i can't make the image brighter and the image looks a little jagged, ive tested on both a PS2 and GameCube using standard composite cables, ive considered purchasing an S-Video cable to test but thought it'd be best to ask before going out and spending money

EDIT: so i fixed the darkness but the image is still all jagged, does anyone know how to fix that?(it happens when the image moves quickly, while watching TV or playing games in either WinTV or GB PVR)

so you are watching this on your pc monitor?

If so this is a deinterlacing problem. i.e. you need to deinterlace the image. This option can normally be found in your graphics card driver settings.

I get a jagged look sometimes when I have the wrong ratio set (I forget what key changes it). There are some that look very similar to my default, but when used, cause a kind of tearing in the picture sometimes.

thanks, i have deinterlacing on(Encoder pass through causes lag but the other two options are fine) but looking through that topic i need to enable DXVA, ive looked through ATI Catalyst Control Center and cant find the option(i got a Radeon X800GT so the card should support it), i have the newest version of the drivers

ati tray tools (from 3dguru) enables you to set DXVA this in the advanced tweaks section.

IIRC, Csy recommended to not enable deinterlacing in gbpvr but set it in the graphics driver only (but i could be wrong here)
