I got the following three tuners in this order
tuner #1 haupauge 150 (no FM)
tuner #2 winfast 2000/xp (crappy software tuner)
tuner #3 avermedia hdtv A180

Now when I try to just record an HDTV show at 8 pm but no other show and subsequently the hauppauge is open it says it's recording the show I choose with the hauppauge, however it actually records on the cannel it waslast tuned too (channel 7) instead of using the avermedia tuner. Also at times when I am recording another show and for some reason gbpvr chooses to record with the winfast because an hour later a recurring show would overlap suddenly it does this as well with the hauppauge 150, the only way right now to ensure that the hauppuage 150 doesn't snatch up my hdtv show is to record 2 sdtv shows to fill those tuners first.
the HDTV channels are listed in my guide after the regular channels
please help

I dont really understand the question, but when scheduling a recording, GB-PVR can choose any capture source that has the requested channel. ie, if you have a channel that is available via both the PVR150 and the A180, GB-PVR will decide which it will use (based on a formular I've described here a few times).

that's the thing here which is so confusing! it tries to use the hauppage card to record a digital channel which it can't do even though the channels are unchecked (hd channels) for the hauppauge and the winxp card and it wouldn't physically be able to record the hd channels anyway. So it records whatever show is playing on the last channel recorded by the hauppage 150.
so something I'm doing wrong here
