Hey guys,
I'm helping my little bro set up his GBPVR for watching, recording and serving TV. Now, I only use my setup to do recording, and watch those through MVPs. SO...my experience in doing Live TV is very limited in this respect.
He's using a PVR150 for the PVR stuff, and using an NVidia GEForce2 for video out to the TV. Are there any tips anyone can provide beyond this? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Guess I could let you know the system specs. Wink

Athlon XP 2400+
512Mb RAM
1x40gig disk
1x250gig disk
Hauppage PVR150 with remote
NVidia GEForce2 (for TV Out)

Specs look good - Set it up and see what happens - I have never had major problems with live tv - just needed to find the right decoders for my setup..

Yea, proper decoder configuration are the key. Get the audio and video in sync before you focus on PQ.

Thanks much, we'll play with the decoders this evening. I recieved a response in the interim and he got gbpvr installed for recording (per some steps I emailed him), but LIveTV is black. I'll work with him on the decoders...its a clean install so no MPEG decoders installed or anything.
