I can't remember what the sertting is in config.xml that adds a specified amount of time to the recording window. It is used to make sure a recording that starts late wil still be recorded. It's not the pre and post padding setting. The default setting causes back to back recordings of the same show to be recorded when all you want is one.

I know Sub has mentioned this before but I can't find the thread.

Anyone??

Thanks,

Thanks Sub. So if I set this to 0 then back to back recordings of the same show will not happen unless I pick both of them?

Yes, but remember, that if the show is even scheduled to start 5 minutes late one night, GB-PVR would no longer detect this as a show in the same timeslot and would not schedule it for recoridng.

I tried to change the Allowable Timesot Variance to 60, but couldn't delete or type over the 90. Do I need to do something first to change it?

What do you mean? Its just a normal text file. There is nothing to stop this field being changed from 90 to 60. Just open it in notepad.

I was trying to change it by opening the file directly. Just did it in Notepad with no problems. Changing it from 90 to 60 should prevent duplicate recording of programs that air the same episode back-to-back.
Thanks for your continued support and patience.
