If I take my every day system (2.8ghz, 1.2g ram, 300gb hard drive) that I use for surfing, gaming, etc, add a WinTV-USB2 and an MVP, and install GBPVR, will that be enough to have a "homemade tivo"?
I'm new to this and the range of hardware choices is a little overwhelming, so i'm not sure what works with what. I'm also a little unclear on what role GBPVR plays in all of this since the WinTV-USB2 allows scheduled recording (does the PC have to be on for that to happen or can you program it ahead of time and "load" the schedule to the WinTV-USB2?) and the MVP allows playback...
Can someone enlighten me?
