Keyboard!

Hi!

First of GREAT program, I'll looking into getting a PayPal account just for this.....

Second I'm totaly sure I read somewhere what keys to press in the keyboard verses which keys to press on the Hauppuage remote. And what the keys does.

Cant remember where, can someone help?

Sub, I know you aren't too enthused about paperwork, but could you pretty please review and update that page? It seems to be a bit out of date, and us non-Hauppauge remote users are missing out!

What kind of remote are you using? I found a good solution for the ATI Remote Wonder with GB-PVR. I will add a post in Hardware soon with more info.

Just wanted to let you know "mcragoe", I use ATI Remote Wonder with GB-PVR as well, so am looking forward to hearing what your solution is.

I saw "krypton_john's" post on using girder, and will try to figure this out unless you have a better (simpler!?) idea

I went to http://remotew.free.fr/plugins.htm#rwkey
and followed the link to http://catsoft.wz.cz/sp/rwkeyfactory.php for instructions and went to here for the file: rwkeyfactory092.zip Most of my remote buttons worked for the GB-PVR UI before using this. I just went into RW key Factory and added Play, FF, Rew, FF Skip, Rew Skip, Pause and some other Hauppauge buttons. This plugin just sends keyboard shortcuts. (Thanks for having this Sub!!! Let me know if you have any trouble. The ATI Remote Wonder works great when the PC is located in a different room, it is very responsive and quick!

Thanks mcragoe, that is awesome. I have tried what you suggested and it works well, good to finally find something that lets you program the remote with ctrl and shift etc.

I agree the remote is great for using a computer in another room. I am sending wirelessly video and audio with an av sender to my tv and stereo to do this.
