Performance seems to suffer after coming out of standby. I've noticed sync issues and video stuttering with both LiveTV and Video Playback after resuming from S3 state. What would cause this slow down?

Drivers which do not correctly support resuming from S3 would cause this.
There isnt a GB-PVR setting that will help this.

Any ideas how to narrow down which driver would cause this?

No. Sorry, I know thats not very helpful.

As the old saying goes, C'est la vie! Thanks for the quick reply Sub, I'd rather someone be honest than BS along without a clue what they are doing. Anyone else experienced any driver conflicts with Standby?

Just a thought. Does the file playback in other apps -like WMP or Zoomplayer- the same way?
Are you using overlay or VRM*? Try other settings. Can't hurt. What hardware are you capturing with? If its Hauppauge, then it could well be a drivers' issue. Gods Knows I've had plenty.

as gkar said, it would help if we knew what tuner you had.
you may be able to reset the device using gbpvrwake.exe, wake.cmd and the MS devcon command.

Its a Hauppauge PVR-150, I haven't had time to test other programs thoroughly but it seems to be a general slow down. I'll post again when I've tested some other apps but any Hauppauge driver advice?

The only real advice I can offer is to try various driver packages. SHS has modded ones that may help.
