Hello,

I heard great reviews about GBPVR and decided to try it out after having too much trouble with WIN7 WMC.

Unfortunately, I have a few bugs and I hope you guys can help me out.

Here are my specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.93GHz
4Gb of Ram 800mhz DDR
Windows 7 ultimate 64bit
2 Hauppauge WinTV 950Q usb tuners

The first problem arises when I am mapping the digital channels (clear QAM) to my EPG (I got a shedulesdirect account). The program finds the channels alright but I can't see the preview pane (its black). I do get sound however. I tried reinstalling the program (and I did install the vcredist_x86 plugin). Am I missing a few more pluggins? Also, I managed to map a couple of QAM channels but when I watch them I also get only audio, the screen is black. This has never happened before with other media centre programs. Help?

The second problem is that the Digital channels found during the scan show their numbers (ex: 111.87) but does not show the name, instead it is written Unknown. My service provider is Cogeco in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. I guess I could try and do it manually but without the preview pane, it is very difficult/impossible even). Is there any help for this?

The third problem happens when I am watching OTA channels with the PVR (I use my second 950Q tuner for ATSC and the install and epg worked like a charm). The channels looks choppy (not smooth), and that is for several channels, HD ones included. I am sure it is not my computer and tuners because I've used them in WMC and they worked just fine. I know it is not my antenna because I get maximal signal on all but 1 OTA channel and they all appear great in other software and my built in TV tuner on my lcd. Could it be that the dbpvr program is slowing things down for the processing of HD OTA channels from a usb device?

Any help would be very much appreciated. I would really want to stick with DBPVR but I need to fix these problems, especially the third one.

Thanks!

Edit: I managed to fix the choppy problems by changing the codecs. I am still having issues with the preview pane and also live tv won't work. It just freezes on a black screen and nothing happens. help?
