Hello everyone I am new here. I found out about this program through a search engine. I was trying to find software that would automatically remove commercials from recored tv programs. I have an Adaptec Videoh DVD Media Center USB 2.0 card and it works great with this program. There is no poping noises while using this program with my card unlike WinDVR3. However there are 2 things that I don't like about this program. I have a digital cable box and tunning is really slow. It is slower than changing channels in WinDVR3. Second, I don't always want to be timeshifting as this leaves the files on my pc which I don't want. Is there a way to turn off timeshifting and enable it whnenver I want. I think this has to do with why the channels take a long time to change. Thanks. This program is great.

Sorry, at this stage its not possible to disable timeshifting. The software was designed this way so that it would be compatible with other playback devices like the MediaMVP which relies on mpeg files for watch Live TV streams.

Are you controlling an external cable box with an IR device (USB-UIRT or Actisys IR200L)? This certainly adds a couple of seconds to the channel changing process. If so, it might be workth looking at using serial connection to you cable box via the Girder Channel Changer.

Also, the time to change playback of files seems to vary depending on the MPEG2 decoder that is selected, so it might be worth trying other MPEG decoders if you have them on you system.

Hi, thanks for your response. Somehow and am quite happy about, channel chaning speed increase quite abit. As for tunning my external cable box, which is connected via composite, I use it's remote to change it. Thanks.
