CDPlayer plugin support?

Me's using the CD-Player Plugin too, works wonderful.

But one bug should be fixed ^^

The Open/Close CD-Buttons are perfect, but the have one big error. If i use the Open Button, then i have to use the close Button after a while too (even if i closed the DVD-ROM Tray manual).

Why? If you don't do so, you can NOTHING do anymore with your optical drive within this GB-PVR session, because no medium will be recognized (gb-pvr is thinking, that the tray is open...) :-D

But if you know this behaviour, it's not the big deal; only my wife wasn't able to use the MediaCenter for a whole day, because she didn't knew this *ggg*

If you are using BaseSkin/Advisor, then download the PluginSkin files and copy the directories into your skin. The CD player works fine.

oh yeah - this has worked.... BUT:

The buttons on my remote for CD player seem to be a bit wierd - e.g. channel up and down skip forward/back tracks (so to the >| buttons as you would expect). And the >> buttons do nothing. Shouldn't they skip forward on the current track?

If I need to configure something in an XML file can someone reccomend an xml file editor, because notepad is shitty at xml.

Uh, the channel up and channel down go to and play the next track on the cd, even when I'm watching tv (where it also changes the channel), and have clicked "stop cd". "Play" plays both the tv and the current cd!

I like this plugin, but i found a problem too (gbpvr 0.99.05).

If I load a cd that isn't found on freedb, cdPlayer freezes.
I got a couple of cd-compilations as a present.
Ordinary cd - no problem, info found, cd plays. I solved it for now by turning of autoupdate, but I wish for a "timeout" of 5 sec or something.

I've had a lot of other problems too with cd's, that has nothing to do with this plugin (I hope) so maybe it's a messy installation...

For instance; I've uninstalled VLC as it started playing cd's automatically in the background (no GUI). Only way to turn it off was to restart (no vlc.exe in the processes either - weird)

i haven't worked on the plugin for tooooo long...i think, i'll have to have a look at it again.

The compilations I had problems with, does have info written on the cd-tracks.
Would be nice if the cdplayer checks the CD first, before it goes to freedb.org.
