Displaying aspect ratio?

I was wondering if there was a way that you can have GBPVR display which aspect reation you are in as you switch between them. Also is there a guide to mapping remote funtions? (for example aspect ratio on a hauppauge remote?)

GB-PVR can usually detect the aspect ratio correctly, but there are a couple of exceptions, the most notable being recordings made by analog capture cards. These recordings are always marked as 4:3 by the devices.

You can cycle through the aspect ratios using the F7 key.

I am aware you can cycle through them with the F7 key, but there is no display as to which aspect ratio it is currently in, I was wodnering if there is a way to DISPLAY the current aspect ration when you switch.

The blue skin displays the current aspect ratio name in the top left of the screen each time you change ratios. I'm guessing you're using some other skin? You can always ask the author of your skin to add this feature.

I am usuing the blue skina nd changing aspect ratios on the fly while the file is playing (its a divx file over a network), while changing the aspect ratios on the fly I see absolutely no indicators as to what aspect ratio I currently am viewing.

If the skin you are using doesnt do it, it is very simple to copy over the relevant lines of codes from the Blue Skin, just search for aspect ratio in Blue and identify the relevant sections

On my TV, I also had to alter the default placing of the apect ratio display to ensure it was seen, but that is straightforward also

Originally, I did not see the aspect ratio caption in the Blue theme.

I really don't know why it appeared. I'm using the latest GB-PVR and I edited my config.xml to stop auto change aspect ratio.
