This has probably been asked a million times, but I cant for the life of me find an answer in the forums...
I have several DVDs as .vob files on my PC. I would like to convert these to mpg2 to play on the MVP. Can anyone recommend a single-click bit of software to do this ? I dont want to have to demux etc etc if I dont have to.

You can try just changing the file extentions (IIRC vob files are just very strict mpegs)

You'll have to check out videohelp.com. There is a freeware tool that goes by the name of VOB2MPG by ChrissyBoy. I've tried it with Liteon 5020 recorder dvds and it works fine as long as the cpu isn't being significantly worked by processing extensive applications. Not exactly one click, but is just as fast to get going ya know. As simple and good as it's gon get i concur.
GBPVR is the best pvr software on the planet!!!!!!!!Big Grin

AMD Sempron 2400+, 1 GIG DDR, 20+40+200+300 GIG HDDs, Liteon DVDRW Burner, Liteon DVDROM drive, Emuzed Maui III, PVR 150, Plextor Convertx, Linksys 5-port Hub, MediaMvp, FX5200 Nvidia Card

You gave him, about, a 10 click solution Big Grin

Oh well, he'll just have to learn to use explorer without the mouse, then it will be a 0 click solution. :p

Oops missed that part - let me think...

try adding the following to a batch file

Code:
REN *.vob *.mpg

Why convert? The XDVD plugin streams VOBs to the MVP without any messing about. - Its my favourite plugin :-)
