New website to use in conjunction with Ubustream

Is there any way to get Ubustream to play within GBPVR (i.e. without changing focus to the external player)? I don't want to use channel mode, just the list with the external player playing within GBPVR window.

Are any of you using the export to UbuStream xml playlists?

I realise that stopping/restarting the front end can be a bit of a pain. I had hoped that I could implement an automatic download of the playlist on a daily basis that would keep the station content fresh each time you enter UbuStream, but this can't be done without the restart.

I'm hoping that Ubu will address this in future releases, but I do understand that it may be more complicated as the plugin is used for recording in channel mode. I'm curious if anyone has found a workaround or even if anyone is interested in this feature at all...
