I checked this thread and its a similar issue...

http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...oad+dongle

After a power cut - or when I turned the power off and on again - I get the reloading application screen. The only way I get the MVP back up is to turn on the hauppauge services again then once its on, power down then turn off the haup svcs then why I next power on it grabs gbpvr fine.

Am I doing something wrong - can gpvr not load the dongle?

Cheers!

On networks thats lose a lot UDP packets, then you're likely to have difficulties duing the 'load application' stage of the MVP bootup.

The next verison of GB-PVR includeds a better TFTP server which is better at handling retries to ensure the dongle gets there even if UDP packets are being lost.

That's interesting sub, cheers. I first got the fear over UDP running 320 kbit mp3s over the MVP sans gbpvr - I thought it might be because of VBR but I guess it was UDP packet loss that made it un-listenable, so I re-encoded to 192cbr - that was fun!

So I can well understand UDP may be an issue. You don't seem to be saying not to go about it the way I am doing so I guess I'll wait for the new version! (Thinks the application load stream must be over 320kps Wink

:-)
