I don't know if the correct term is aliasing or interlacing or whatever but I get those horizontal lines when capturing (from hauppauge pvr 150 mce). What are considered to be the "best" settings? It's killing me to watch the Simpson's ;-)

Try messing with the deinterlacing option in the Config app to either Encoder Pass-through or the Deinterlace filter options. I believe the Deinterlace filter is what cured this issue when i had it. BTW, I'm using the intervideo decoder.
MY PVR:
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
Hardware: Silverstone LC13-E, Athlon II 250, Asrock 785GMH, 2GB Corsair RAM, 250GB WD HDD, 1TB WD Black, Hauppauge PVR-150 MCE tuner (s-video to Dish STB), HDHomeRun (ATSC x2), MCE2004 for Rx, USB-UIRT for Tx, Sony VL600 Remote, 36" Sony Wega HD CRT on DVI to embedded ATI HD4200.
TV Service: Dish Network and Antenna Pics 'n Details

Yes, it does sound like the video is not being deinterlaced. Usually the decoder used during playback will deintelace the picture. What decoder are you using? Try a different one.

Unfortunately these settings are only relevant to live tv.

Interesting...It's starting to look like the software I use for playback. GBPVR plays back beautifully, where Nero and TCPMP both have the interlacing or whatever...Thanks for the help though!
