Second recording Fails

The issue I am having is that a lot of the times, my second recording fails after the first completes. For example. . . .

I go to bed. . . My recording at 1am records fine. . . but then my recording at 4am fails. . . .
When I come to my computer in the morning, it is in standby mode and everything *seems* to be ok, but then my second recording is listed as "failed."

I am using the current 98.8b but I seem to remember having this problem on earlier versions as well thou.

Any ideas?

Are you sure it recovers ok from standby to start recording. A lot of people have to use the wakecommand to get their tunercard working ok after standby.

Did you check your log? Look in your install directory for a bunch of text files. They might help shed some light.

Sorry guys. I will take a look at the logs and see if I can find anything useful and post them later tonight. I do appreciate all the help!

I'm looking at some log files but none of them seem to pertain to the failed video. Is there somewhere specific I should be looking that I am just not seeing?

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Well I tried to reoproduce the problem last night and now it worked. I play around with some of the hibernataton/standby settings. I couldn't get hibernation to work but under the standby settings I UNCHECKED ask for loggin after recovering from standby(o somthing like that.) Would that make things work different?
