I recently downloaded GB-PVR because I had heard that it works with DVICO's FusionHDTV cards.

For some reason, however, I am unable to record anything or view live TV. I know that the particular model I have is not listed, but the FusionHDTV3 is, and that model is mechanically similar.

If it has BDA drivers, then it should work with GB-PVR, but you'll need to add a new section to bda.ini that specifies the filter names used for this card. If you use the forum search you'll find plenty of posts on how to do this. Search for something like: bda.ini graphedit

Thanks for the suggestion. I downloaded GraphEdit and entered in the exact info needed in the BDA.ini file, but unfortunately the results are the same.

Is it possible that my card needs to be the only entry in the BDA.ini file? O, even more likely, my card just doesn't work with GB-PVR. I don't know why it wouldn't; like you said, it uses BDA drivers and I managed to get it working with both SageTV and BeyondTV. I just don't have the funds right now to buy either program, and DVICO's own PVR software is completely unreliable and all but useless.

What results exactly? What are you trying in GB-PVR that is failing? You didnt actually say in your posts above. If its still not listed in the available cards, then you've entered something incorrectly in your BDA.ini file. If you've got the bda.ini settings correct, then this device should work with GB-PVR.

In a nutshell, what happens is absolutely nothing.

I can't watch live TV with it, and when I set it to record something, it creates folders for the recorded programs, but the programs themselves are nowhere to be found.

This is the actual BDA.ini entry I created for my card. I copied it directly from the FusionHDTV 5 Lite entry because they both appear to be the same:

[Fusion HDTV2]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
FILTER_TUNER=FusionHDTV, BDA Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=FusionHDTV, Transport Stream Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

As far as I can see, that should be exactly what's required, and there's no reason it shouldn't work, yet it doesn't.

Did you setup your capture source, and map your channels?

Zip and attach the logs an I'll tell you what is happening.

Here's every single log I could find in the directory. I realize some of them might repeat themselves, but I wasn't sure which specific ones you'd need.

Anyways, here goes.

Also, I did scan for channels and do mapping and so forth. It actually found channels, so it appears to be set up correctly.

Because I've made quite a few changes to ATSC support post v0.98.8, its probably worth trying those improvements first. This involves installing the patches from http://www.gbpvr.com/atsc-scan5.zip, then going into your capture source settings and hit the 'map digital channels to epg channels' button which will force it to do a channel scan.

Try that and let me know how you get on.

I took your advice and downloaded the patches. I wasn't sure how to install it, so I just copied it over to the main directory so that it overwrote the original file, but things just went from bad to worse. Now it won't even recognize the card at all.

I decided to uninstall it until I can figure out a solution that doesn't involve me getting another HDTV card, because that's not an option right now.
