Can anyone confirm if this card is supported ?

I have selected the Dvico DVB-T version but with no luck (Error: Object refrence not set to an instance of an object).

As far as I can see the only difference between the DVB-T & DVB-T Plus version is the socket arrangement on the back, not the processor or tuner so it should work fine, shouldn't it :confused:

You will need to edit the bda.ini file in the gbpvr directory. Basically, the current Dvico (Beta 3) drivers have been renamed.

I've changed:

[Dvico Fusion T1]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=FusionHDTV, BDA DVB-T Tuner/Demod
FILTER_CAPTURE=FusionHDTV, Transport Stream Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

to:

[Dvico Fusion T1]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=FusionHDTV, BDA Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=FusionHDTV, Transport Stream Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

Which works well for ABC but the channel scan falls over with SBS. (The commercial channels are yet to come online for me)

The above advice is consistent with the T1 model not the Plus.

You should open Graphedit and check which filters are available for your card and then substitute those into the .ini file.

I have an UltraView Plus (some card, different sticker + software branding).
I made additions to the bda.ini , similar to above, but changing
FusionHDTV to UltraviewHTDV.
Initially I got the thing tuning, with sound, but no video, and same error when
watching live tv.
But I did not have an "MPEG Multiplexer" (demux ?) installed, so I installed
ShowShifter and now the tuning section tells me the BDA device is not
configured or Busy. Maybe I need to try the InterVideo or Cyberlink filters,
if I can find one.

Excellent - got it working. I downloaded the DTV mentioned elsewhere and
things went much better. The tuning was still a little funny - the "Map Channels
to EPG" would only scan the sub-channels of the last frequency that I tuned
using the OEM software. Not really a problem since I just run the config 5 times
to get the 5 frequencies, which then worked. I'm 90% sure this worked the first
time (without video) but I must have fiddled with one of the settings.
Also, the AC3 channels do not have any sound, but do when I use the OEM
software. Any ideas ?

I had this problem tuning too ... the FusionHDTV seems to lock the card into the last channel used...

Works OK for me if you reboot and don't load the Fusion app ... with GB-PVR being so good you should never have to run that Fusion turkey again Smile

Just received the tuner and downloaded latest drivers from dvico, version 3.0.

The tuner is not being recognised.

Checked the bda.ini file and it has an entry for FusionHDTC DVB-T as well as the T1 version.

Chookmaster commented " I downloaded the DTV mentioned elsewhere and

eepunk commented "open Graphedit and check which filters", what is Graphedit and filters and how do you use it.

Did a search through the forum with no luck.

What am I doing wrong??

Any assistance will be appreciated.

Use google to search for graphedit.exe and you'll find it pretty quickly. Once you have it, select 'Insert Filter' from the menu, and insert the Fusion BDA components. This will show you the names conntained in bda.ini.

Just received the Tuner yesterday and installed with Media Center 2005.

It found all 8 Gold Coast channels and using EPGRunner created an EPG also with all Gold Coast channels.

Everthing worked, TV, Guide, Video, Music, etc.

All this took half a day including clean install, doing all the Windows Updates, etc.

I have been watching this forum and from the comments make about how good gbpvr is I decided to give it a go.

As indicated in my earlier post I had immediate problems in the tuner not being found.

As suggested, I got Graphedit OK and Inserted Filter.

In total ignorance as to what I was doing:

Expanded all the entries and found reference to Fusion under :

BDA Source Filters - entry - FusionHDTV, BDA Tuner

BDA Receiver Components - entry - FusionHDTV, Transport Stream Capture

Changed bda.ini entry for [Dvico Fusion DVB-T] from:

FILTER_TUNER=FusionHDTV, BDA DVB-T Tuner/Demod

to

FILTER_TUNER=FusionHDTV, BDA Tuner

as identified in Graphedit

I have no idea what the other entries mean.

Saved the file and ran Config again

Found the entry in Device Configuration.

Updated EPG with entries I created with xmltv, note, could only get the channels for the Queensland, Gold Coast and not the entries for the Northern NSW channels which are available to Gold Coast viewers. There seems to be no facility, except for EPGRunner, to get all the Gold Coast channels, I have asked Bladerunner if he/she could add the Gold Coast to Bladerunner.

Clicked "Map digital channels to EPG channels".

Result - No channels found. Please check your signal and configuration settings.

Well, all this has taken over a day and I seem to no further advanced.

It seems you have to be a technical guru to get it working.

Perhaps I will stay with Media Center 2005.

Pity.
