Dear GBPVR,
I was hoping someone could help me with a problem that has just started happening when i try and schedule recordings. Although the program repoprts that it has recoded the whole show when i open the file only the start has recorded (typically ~15min). Don't think it is a problem with disk space as there is ~90 GB free on the drive.
Log file from a recent recording which stopped after 17 min attached.
Any help much appreciated [Image: rock.gif]

When a recording stop prematurely, this is usually cause by your PVR card sharing an IRQ with another device (usually a sound card). You can check this in the control panel -> Administrative tools -> Computer Management -> Device Manager. Select View -> Resource by Connection from the menu.

thanks for responding so quickly [Image: smile.gif]

It doesn't look like there are any other devices which have the same IRQ as my TVCard (Hauppage PVR-350). I have recently set up my computer to hibernate after 5 minutes of inactivity - do you think it could have anything to do with this?

cannabinoidboy,

please look at this posting: Bug when interrupting one recording by another.
It seems that we have very similar problems. Can you please tell me the following:
- Are the timestamps of your recordings at the scheduled ends of the recordings or at the point in time when they are aborted?
- Does the recording service show 'recording' state until the scheduled end of the recording?
- Is your network card usable in between the premature stop and the scheduled end of the recording?
- Have you set automatic standby?
- What hardware do you use? Mine is an ASUS K8V-SE Deluxe with a Marvell Yukon Gigabit Ethernet controller and a PVR-350.

tschoo,

I agree our problems sound similar.
The timestamps show the full length of the program not the time it aborts
GPVR shows that it is recording although the file size doesn't grow.
My network card does seem to work during the period while gbpvr is trying to record, but the problems only emerged after i installed a wireless network card a few days ago (Belkin 54 MB PCI). Motherboard is an MSI KT4V.

I have set the compuer to go automatic standby

After updating to latest drivers for PVR 350 and GBPVR v0.23 (from 0.22) problem is resolved ! I can now have my computer wake from hibernation to record shows then go back into hibernation. (Haven't tried 0.2311 yet....).
