Sub (and others)
The problem -
stuff recorded via dboxrecorder is recorded as .mpg - however this contains errors usually and can be somewhat troublesome to playback -
If i play it using WMP all is fine - have used several differnet codecs all ok -
If played under GBPVR - unwatchable due to jumping and stalls - have tried all available codecs (except nero i think) with no difference.
Using graphedit Ive traced the issue to the use of the mpeg-2-demuxer. If i use graphedit with that (as per the log files that show gbpvr uses it and the use of lastgraph) it carries on as in GBPVR. If substitute the mpeg-splitter all is fine.
I de-registered the mpeg-2-demux in order to force GBPVR not to be able to use it and was able to come up with a combination that was good for all mpgs, avi etc ................ BUT ........................
Then i found I was unable to record as the demuxer is used on the recording side.
So back in it went - problem returns.
No amount of demoting the mpeg-2-demux (its marked as do not use) and promotion of the mpeg-splitter makes a difference to GBPVR.
I know there is currently no way of specifiying a graph to use - but what
determines the use of the mpex-2-demux over the spilter ?
This is a clear case of GBPVR doing something different than WMP and no amount of fiddling with the codecs available seems to be able to resolve it.
