Comskip and caption times are not adjusted when the file is trimmed. This will be addressed in the next version.

I justed burned a dvd compiled from 4 x mpegs.

Unfortunately there seems to be a fair bit of corruption and blockiness when watching the first episode.

Any ideas as to what the cause might be?
should I try remuxing the recording first?
are there any settings in the cmd files that i can play around with?

cheers

The command file is likely this one:

C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Third Party\BurnDVD\adddvdntscsub.cmd
if you are using subtitiles or remove the sub off the end for the normal one.

The files are transrated for a DVD and I wouldn't expect that to cause blockiness. In fact I think you pretty much have to have data corruption to have the sort of picture you are describing. Are you sure the DVD that you are burning is compatible with the drive you are playing it in?
Have you tried creating an iso, mounting that with daemon tools and playing it with GBPVR DVD function? That's the way I test all of the features.

Just uploaded a new version 1.0.0.3 to fix the comskip and caption time issue.

Also, burndvdX2 uses essentially the same command lines as burndvd did. You were burning ok with the burndvd plugin weren't you?

yep (well the 1 dvd that I burned looked fine)

I am wondering if there is some corruption is the DVB transmission that is not apparent during normal playback.

I will create some ISO's and do some more testing.

Is there a way to replace IMGBURN with Nero for the DVD burning? I have had little to no luck with IMGBURN, but rarely any issues with Nero. I haven't looked to see if you are running a batch file of some kind, if so, I could just replace the burn command... Smile

Look at the builddvd command that is created in your temp/burndvd directory. If you can come up with a way to get that to work with nero, I can build it into the plugin.

I think pBs did this at one point in his development of showburner so you might check with him.

Do you know if nero can be called from the command line?
edit: Looks like it can with nerocmd. - Unfortunately I only have the CD version of nero. I'll see if I can locate the DVD burning version.
