Hi,

trying to get this working with Last.FM

I have set up my last.fm login details inthe config app and tested the connection which seems ok

If I play music using winamp it updates last.fm with details of the track I am currently playing, but nothing seems to happen when using musiclibrary2 plugin on my PC, The Last.FM application just sits at not currently listening, do I need to do anything to add musiclibrary2 to last.fm

or is there anything else I have missed doing ?

I'm beginning to understand this now, the tracks I play using musiclibrary2 actually appear in my last.fm dashboard, not in the local last.fm application.

it seems to work well with the mvp until you move about in either the playlist or library window at which point it stops updating last.fm

Nice touch if you can get it relilably updating last.fm but I have to admit what is the point of last.fm why should anybody else be interested in what music I'm playing :o

yeah thats how last.fm works, the additions I've made to Ml2 make it act like the last.fm application, all the code I added does, is update the last.fm web site.

Nah I'm not sure either, but later on I could use it for creating playlists based on your favourites, rather than me having to store the information in the db (although that's an option as well).

I'll try and get that patch tested soon - which should fix the playlist problem, and I'll test some of the other mvp functionality as well, or have you already done that??

there might be another problem with playlists on the mvp but I suspect its the same fault as there are many errors in the logs after the screensavers stop working

random play works fine re-filling the selection when the current one runs out and it automatically starts playing if you dont touch it.

there is some date problem with last.fm as tracks I played on the mvp some seem to be rejected because the time of playing is earlier than another track I presumably have already played on the PC, as I still dont fully understand it I'm not to sure exactly what the error is

Yeah i thiknk I found that last.fm error. Was using the local time and should have been using UTC. Have got a fix for that as well.
