LOL, no it's just a quaint expression meaning something like "well that's the end of that". It has no connotations stated or implied to whetehr someing is free or paid for....

zehd Wrote:(Anyway, I think I'm going to see what MEncoder acts like when controlled by ZProcess... I like how ZProcess 'tames' ffmpeg. Just think it could be better...
Yup, I'm a fan of ffmpeg, but having said that, don't know much about either!

They might have the same problems, I think they are both based on the libavcodec.
Edit: However I do remember there was a retime.bat based on mencoder. I'll see if I can find it.

This is the retime.bat that I have:

Code:
:: retime_mencoder.bat
move %1 "%~dpn1_original.mpg"
start /low /wait mencoder.exe -of mpeg -oac copy -ovc copy "%~dpn1_original.mpg" -o "%~dnp1.mpg"

Seems to be mpeg to mpeg.

Yeah, there's something like that for ffmpeg that will retime a video, but i understand that that timing is not really the problem,but rather the TYPE of timing that is being used. I might be off a bit with that explanation, but it serves me, and my head doesn't explode...

Anyway, I have been comparing my ffmpeg strings with the mencoder documentation, and think that I may have a harder time than I thought.

There is a possibility that the new version of ZProcess and the included new build of ffmpeg may have solved this problem.

http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=22210

Be careful if you try, and read the back up instructions.

Please post ZProcess concerns in the ZProcess sub-forum...

Thanks
