I never managed to get CC to work. I do see subtitles when used with video files (SRT/SUB files).

I never looked into it, thinking maybe I don't get them over here, but now that my TV shows them fine, I realize that the info is there. I think all my settings are correct. How to troubleshoot?

P.S another issue regarding the data being transmitted along the TV signal - my new TV actually learns the EPG over the TV signal (including channels names, and shows correct icons too!). No internet used. Is it possible to do so with PC tuner cards? (not very important - the PC does have internet connection for EPG d/l).

There is no real CC support in GB-PVR. We use a different system in my part of the world (Teletext subtitles, or DVB Subtitles).

That said...there is a some very basic support for CC, but you have to be using either a PVR250 or PVR350 + VMR7/VMR9 + Intervideo decoder + plus have the setting enabled in the config app.

No, not with the system used in your part of the world.

It does do DVB EPG which is used with digital TV in most of the world.
