Is it (post title) possible? I did do some searching and read through the wiki but dident find anything for this kinda thing. The reason I ask is, hmm well let me give you an overview of my mess.

cable box --coax-- dvd recorder --coax-- tv
[
[
(just added)--rca to 150mce card / serial cable to computer

I have been able to set it up so that gb-pvr can control and record from the digital cable box. How ever I also need to occasionally record shows using the dvd recorder (third party, long story Smile ).

I would like to set it up so that the gb-pvr will record the shows I want. Then change the channel on the cable box to the right channel for a set time block to let the dvd recorder (pre-programed to start at such and such a time) record the right show. And then let gb-pvr continue recording my shows etc. A plus would be having it show in the scheduler so I can stop any conflicts before hand.

I suppose I could just record it to the computer and burn it to dvd from there but to be honest I am a bit short on disc space and adding their recordings to mine will pretty much send me into negative disc space:eek: .

I told ya it was a mess Big Grin .

There is no facility to do this. You'd have to let GB-PVR also record the show, then delete it afterwards.

That's pretty much what I thought. But was kinda hoping there was something.

Thanks for the help. Smile
