With my own utility, ZProcess, I notice several more downloads than those folks that have posted questions or comments on my sub-forum. And then I'll see a question or bug from someone who has just joined so they could post.

I would imagine there are many, many lurkers out there. And that's a testiment to how well GB-PVR actually functions. But that's the case for any product's tech support. You'll really only hear the bad stuff (complaints, bugs etc).

I remember getting a tech call when I was working for the local cable company, one late graveyard shift. The person said, "I don't have any problems with the service and I love you guys and so I just wanted to say that I've always had great support from you guys, and just thought that you probably don't get a call like this, so I called to say thanks..."

I didn't want to correct his run-on sentence... Big Grin

Anyway, it's pretty cool to be involved in such a wide sweeping, internationally accepted project that seems to have a life of it's own...

PS. Too bad that there are those coders out there that have abused the idea, where an application (or operating system) will 'call home' so the coder can keep track of how many copies are in use. This practice has earned the title of a type of spyware. Used properly though, and with full disclosure to, and permission from, the user, this technique would indeed help us all see just how big GB-PVR has become.

But I digress...

I'll bet if we asked nicely, Zap2it might tell us how many different IP's using GBPVR's code hit's their website a day.
It may give us an accurate number.

Of US users anyway...

Sub, any guesses on what your international usage percentages are (i.e. % US vs % AUS vs %European, etc)?

Nevermind.
