I am a new user, and have just installed v0.98.13.

My setup is ATI Winder Elite 550/nVidia 6200.

When I create a new record source in config for the ATI 550, if I check the box for "only show detected cards", it shows up, and I can create the source, with the zap2it EPG guide, and click OK to save it.

However, when I then launch gbpvr live tv, it says "the selected channel is not available to watch TV". If I launch config again, it shows the list of record sources being empty -- the source I previously created is not there. I've tried this several times always with the same result.

Is this a common situation (user error?), with a straightforward remedy? The installation of gbpvr seemed to go fine (I had previously installed .NET 2), and the card does work fine with its own software (PowerCinema).

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,
Don

Its something to do with the Software Recorder plugin you've got installed. If you remove it from the plugins directory, I'm pretty sure your problem will go away.

sub,

Thanks for your speedy reply.

All I did was run the v0.98.13 installer. So, that plugin dll was put there by the installer, not by me. Is there some reason that should cause a problem?

Also, if I'm creating a recording source using the Direct Record plugin, would the Software Recorder plugin be referenced?

Thanks,
Don

No it wasnt. You put it there yourself. This file is not written by me, and not included with the GB-PVR distribution. I've never even downloaded it.

It may have been on your machine since before the you ran the v0.98.13 installer though, and it may not like something about v0.98.13. Same advice though - remove it from the plugins directory, I'm pretty sure your problem will go away.
