Charter decided (in their infinite wisdom) to rearrange my channels for cable. Since Zap2it hasn't changed to match yet, I tried to add the new locations to my listings so I could at least record the time frames manually to get what I wanted. However, for some reason, I can't get the listings/channels that show up in config to line up correctly. I tried turning all the channels on from my lineup on zap2it but they all show up at the tail end of my channels (e.g. the last channel I used to have is 75, now the additional channels start at 76 and increment by one, thru 140+). It seems that the channels that are stuck from removal are the ones I recorded from in the past. I've tried removing gbpvr completely from the system (uninstall from control panel, removing all hints from the registry, deleting the devnz subdirectory) but it still remembers what I channels I had there before. any hints on how to get my channels set right?

thanks,

David

You might be able to get it to work the way you want by deleting all the channels from the Capture Sources and rebuilding from zap2its latest list. Then you may have to manually change the tuning # to get it to point at the right channel (I think you can do that in the Channels config tab).

If that doesn't work you'll have to remove the GB-PVR database (gbpvr.mdb if still using Access, gbpvr.db3 if using SQLite), then rebuild everything. That is sort of a PITA, though.

Well, zap2it finally caught up with the channel changes. Unfortunately, my installation of gbpvr still wants to append the updated channel list to the end of the list. Seems that it wants to remember the channels I've recorded from and won't let me remove them from the list in the Channels tab. Thanks for the heads up, Braklet, but I still have a problem with removing channels that exist twice and manually changing the channel. Just a little awkward. I've resolved it by reinstalling again. This time it imports the correct lineup. The bad side is that it doesn't know what has already been recorded. guess I need to go figure out how to import with mpegimport.

You should have a recordings-dump.xml file in the GBPVR directory that can be used with the 'import recordings' feature in the config app.
