Hi,

I have been using GBPVR for well over a year and its a great piece of software, recently I decided to invest in a graphics card to handle my tv-out when before I was using the PVR350 to do this, I had lots of problems with th 350 so opted for an easier option, plus I wanted to play divx files etc...

I now seem to have a problem when the machine starts to record a scheduled show, the tv shows no output? , if i start the machine normally, its fine, its only if it wakes up to do a recording, if a recording starts when the machine is already on, then the output is also fine.
I cannot understand why the recording service would affect it so.
This is quite frustating, because if you want to start watching a recording, before it has finished, you have to effectively reboot the pc, thus missing part of the recording.

The graphics card I have is a Sapphire ATI Radeon 9550 and I am running GBPVR v98.13
Does anyone have any ideas on how I could rectify this problem?
Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure that the problem isn't related to the TV out screwing up when your PC comes out of it's stand-by state? I've heard of ATI cards having some trouble with that.

Also, I know some ATI cards have trouble enabling TV out if the TV isn't on when the machine is started. I'm pretty sure there's an option in the video driver properties to force TV detection to remedy it.

It seems unlikely to be the recording service.

Sorry, but this isnt a GB-PVR problem. It'll be something to do with power management and/or you video card and its drivers. If you do a forum search you'll find some threads discussing this in the past.
