yes, TimeWarner has Explorer 3250HD Set Top Boxes. I rent them at the same price as SD Set Top Boxes.
I use a USB-UIRT and utilize the 3.5mm stereo jack on the back for a total of 3 "Zones" thus controling 3 STB's.
the blasters connected to the jack are stuck onto two of the STB's and covered to prevent "IR Cross talk"
the third STB utilizes the IR LED on the front of the USB-UIRT and sends its signal freely over an open space (line of sight).
