I don't normally use my MVP/GBPVR to watch Live TV. The channel change delay is an issue, so I've never actually tried using the MVP/GBPVR record Live TV function either but...
Last night I was channel surfing watching my TV using it's tuner and saw a program I wanted to record, so I do a quick switch to viewing Live TV with the MVP/GBPVR, then go to that channel and hit the record button on my remote then select record and off GBPVR goes recording the program as instructed.
Today when I went to watch the recording, I found it didn't show up in the Recordings directory of MVP/GBPVR even though the file was there in my GBPVR server Recordings directory.
Since the file was saved in the recordings directory path, why wouldn't it have shown up as a recording within 'MVP/GBPVR Recordings'?
Note, I was able to watch the recording via the MVP after I'd physically gone to my GBPVR PC server and moved the mpg file of the program to a standard GBPVR listed directory.
Why didn't this Live TV recording show up just like a standard scheduled recording does? Also, it didn't have comskip run on it. Why?
