Remotes

I have a quick question about the remotes. Will any IR remote, especially one with the learning capabilities work with the 150 IR. The reason I ask is I want to purchase a remote that will do it all.....turn on/off the tv and does it all if you know what I mean. Also is there a way to turn off/on the GBPVR box with the remote(either the 150 remote or a universal remote). Thanks in advance.

yea, you have to use a learning remote to control the 150, cuz not many remotes have the codes for that one built in..[most don't even have a pc-category of devices]
but i use a learning remote just fine with it and any of those will do...

you can turn off the gbpvr box with remote, it's in the system menu...

but as far as turning it off,i think you need a usb remote to 'wake' the pc from off state....

oh yea, actually i remember there are lots of other remotes that will work with irremote.ini...i think mce ones are in there even..

i'm pretty sure it won't let you use *any* remote, they have to conform to some new 'standard'...
