Type in channel number in guide

I have 800 channels in my TV Guide and it takes quite a while to scroll down to 650 to see what's on. Is there a technical reason that you can't just type the channel number in on the remote to jump to in the guide or is there just something wrong with the way my remote is set up?

In the TV Guide you can normally type the channel number and press enter. Does it work on your keyboard?

Works for me! Even better, it works in LiveTV mode as well.

This does make me wonder what other undocumented goodies are in there.

I have the same problem. While watching TV I can type the channel in, but not in the TV Guide. Is there something else I need to do?

If you're typing the channel number on your keyboard, you must use the numbers on the main part of the keyboard. It doesn't work with the numeric keypad. After typing the number press enter.
