Keyboard sticks while gaming when a recording begins

If I'm playing UT2004 or BFvietnam (presumably others, but these are the only two tested) and a scheduled recording begins in GBPVR, the kb freezes up and I can't control anything in game. I cant hit CTRL ALT DEL, I cant turn the CAPS light on/off, nothing responds. I have a usb kb sitting nearby and if I plug it in, i regain control with the new kb. Whats wild is if I quit the game, remove the usb kb, then restart the game (leaving GBPVR recording in the background) then the same thing happens. Mouse is OK the whole time... just kb locks up... and only IN the game. If I stay on the desktop or in internet explorer for example, kb is fine... I have a regular ps/2 kb, though it does have some extra media buttons on it... I could test another simpler kb...

I suppose it may be happening in other apps, will have to test. I thought maybe BLINKY was causing it with the scroll lock light... so I uninstalled that plugin but still occurs.

I cant think of any reason for this. If anything, maybe buggy motherboard chip set drivers?

I doubt it could be a GB-PVR bug or we would have heard lots more about it in the past. I also cant think of anyway that would be possible, since the recording service doesnt know anything about keyboards etc, and doesnt accept input from one.

If I boot up using a USB kb, the problem does not occur. It only happens when using a ps/2 (circle type connector) keyboard. very odd. I agree it sounds chipset related - maybe even bios. I'll DL/install both of the latest.

Oh and the media keys don't matter, I tested with an old win98 kb with no special keys and the same problem happened.

updated BIOS and chipset drivers (intel 865) -- STILL happening. I tried starting a recording, then minimizing GBPVR to the tray - then started up UT2004. played about 30 seconds before the kb froze.

nutty. and it still doesn't happen with a usb kb. Not a big deal since I was planning on buying a wireless kb, but its gonna drive me nuts as to why this is goin on.
