I use a dreambox 500s and over the past couple of months have had numerous issues with stuttering and halting playback of the live streams (and failed recordings).
In all cases I use an enigma based firmware not neutrino - due to other issues.
This was not so much a problem with a Pi2 image - but still some pauses were encountered.
I was running with a hydra based image until last night - this was a complete failure - and was clssified by the kids as "broken" - it was unlikely to play or record for more than 10minutes without dropping out.
Last night i installed the latest Gemini project image - Gemini 3.30.
Eureka - this is a very streaming oriented build of the software and has support in the web interface to start VLC and other streaming apps.
I am pleased to say this seems to be working flawlessly - I will check tonight - but in testing this morning - no stuttering , breaks etc and rapid channel change and startup - .
Its set to record about 5 progs over the space of today so will see how that goes.
At this point - it certainly appears that gemini 3.30 is a recomended enigma based image for the dreambox to be used with dboxrecorder.
Alibert - you might like to add a known good image section to the wiki - as might save some others a lot of effort.
